I've been learning so many Web 2.0 tools this past four months in all of my courses. One that I am excited about using is Google Reader. Google reader allows me to receive updates for my online subscriptions to blogs, online publications, and podcasts.
I have subscribed to five RSS feeds that I feel will help be in my teaching and my AR project. They all have to do with technology in education.
The first is iLearn Technology. This is an educator's blog about ideas on how to integrate technology in the classroom. There are a number of lesson plans, flip charts and freebies. I can't wait to get some time to browse through the archive to see what I've missed and become inspired.
Education Technology Insight is a sight aimed at educators wanting to integrate technology in their teaching. I believe by subscribing to their RSS feed, I will be able to learn a lot of research behind technologies, opinions and other educators experience using different technologies.
Dr. Tony Karrer is CEO/CTO of TechEmpower, a Los Angeles Web Development firm, and is considered on of the top technologists in e-Learning. His blog eLearning Technology will help me with portions of my AR project. I have already gotten information from him about benefits of text-to-speech.
I always love to pick other educators brains and get their insight on different things. The Apple is where I hope to meet and learn from my peers as to what is working for them in their classrooms.
Thinkfinity is a site I visit quite often to get ideas for lesson planning. Being a subscriber to their RSS feed will save me so much time searching.
I hope you find these sites helpful as well. Check back to see what else I have learned that I can share with you!
